Provisioning Platform for Construction

Client: Ferreira

GoalReplace fragmented quoting with one system that tracks every project, supplier, and deadline
OutputFull-stack platform with one-click RFQs, automatic quote ingestion, and intelligent comparison with decision support

Ferreira manages procurement across multiple construction projects—each with long material lists, several suppliers, and tight deadlines. Much of that work used to live in email threads, spreadsheets, and ad-hoc follow-ups: hard to see what was urgent, easy to lose a quote, and slow to compare offers line by line.

They needed a single place to run the whole flow—from requesting quotes to adjudicating suppliers—without adding friction for the team on site or in the office.

We designed and built a full-stack provisioning platform tailored to how Ferreira actually works:

  • Projects as the hub: Each construction project keeps materials, budget references, assigned users, and status in one view so nothing depends on who has the latest file.
  • Quote requests in one click: Sending a request for quote is a button in the app; the platform prepares the request and sends the email in the background, with tracking per supplier and per material.
  • Replies that land on their own: When a supplier answers, the system reads the inbox, matches the message to the right project and RFQ, and uses AI to extract and map line items from the reply—whether it arrives as a standard spreadsheet template, a PDF, or text in the email body—so quotes appear in the comparison map without retyping.
  • Smarter RFQs and comparison: AI recommends which suppliers to invite on each request, based on the materials involved and each supplier's history and scoring. The comparison map lays out proposals side by side, flags when a line price looks far off from the rest of the market (a possible error), and highlights delivery dates that miss the project timeline. When quotes are in, AI weighs price, track record, lead times, and other factors to suggest the strongest overall option—while the team keeps the final say.
  • Operational visibility: A notifications hub surfaces what needs attention: quotes received, requests still waiting, delivery risks, adjudication and purchase-order events—so the team always knows if something is urgent.

The platform connects to the client's email environment for outbound quote requests and inbound quote capture. Our work covered product design, frontend, and backend—including RFQ workflows, AI-assisted ingestion and recommendations, and the comparison experience.

The result

Ferreira now runs provisioning from a unified system instead of scattered email and files. Quote requests go out in seconds—with supplier suggestions to start from the right shortlist—replies flow back into the right project automatically, and the comparison map surfaces outliers, deadline risks, and a recommended best quote so adjudication is faster and more confident.

The platform turns a process that used to be reactive and manual into something the team can steer proactively: fewer missed deadlines, less duplicate work, and faster, more confident buying decisions.
